Why the next computing revolution will be hybrid, human and slightly unpredictable

Last week, a CTO told me he was waiting for quantum computing to be "ready" before investing. I nearly dropped my coffee. Waiting for tech to be neat and finished is like waiting for London traffic to be quiet. It is never happening.

AI demand is exploding, quantum is finally moving into real-world systems and cloud is still the backbone. The next computing era is not a clean upgrade. It is a mashup, a remix, a hybrid future stitched together by humans who are doing their best while the ground moves under them.

And most importantly, get comfortable with systems that feel slightly unfinished. They will be improved continuously, often by the very people you hire next.

The revolution is not tidy. That is the opportunity.

The hybrid future will not be textbook perfect. It will be unpredictable, human powered and occasionally chaotic. But that is exactly why new winners will emerge.
