Twenty-six years ago, recruitment looked very different. Agencies ran on volume. Success was measured in CVs sent and calls made. The faster you moved, the better you were doing, or so the thinking went.
We saw what that model produced. Good candidates lost in a pile. Hiring managers let down at the final stage. Roles filled quickly and vacated just as fast.
So we built Xist4 to do it differently.
Not a volume game. Not a CV-matching service. A genuine attempt to make recruitment work the way it should: honest, considered and built around people rather than process.
We work with a select number of clients at a time. That is a deliberate choice. It means every brief gets real attention, every candidate gets treated properly and every search is run with the care that complex, business-critical roles actually demand.
Our work spans data, technology and leadership recruitment across Fintech, Greentech, Arts, Cultural and Heritage Institutions, and Startups and Scale-ups. These are not peripheral hires. They are the roles that shape strategy, protect systems, build platforms and determine whether an organisation moves forward or stands still.

Every search starts with a proper brief. Not a job description handed over and actioned, but a real conversation about what the role needs to achieve, what kind of person will thrive in it and what might put the right candidates off.
From there we map the market, build a considered shortlist and manage the candidate journey from first approach through to offer and start date. We stay close to both sides throughout, so nothing important gets missed and nothing catches anyone off guard.
Our commitment does not end at offer acceptance. We check in at Day 1, Week 1 and at one, three, six and twelve months. Because a good hire should still be a good hire a year later.
