Job Description

IT Network Infrastructure Engineer wanted for global IT infrastructure role. You will be a key player responsible for the company’s entire infrastructure across 11 international locations.

Hybrid Working: To come into the office between once a week/twice a month. 90% Working from home.

Work from Anywhere Policy: Yes (by agreement with line manager)

IT Network Infrastructure Engineer - Key Skills:

We are keen to speak to experienced Network Infrastructure Engineers, Network Support Engineers, Technical Support Engineers, 3rd Line Support Engineers, and Systems Support Engineers.

To be successful within this role, you will:

  • Have experience in autonomous working in a network infrastructure role. A proactive worker that DOES NOT require micro-managing to be productive.
  • Enjoy working from home and taking responsibility for the quality of your work.
  • Enjoy problem-solving and investigating root cause analysis across technologies.
  • Have proven experience in physical hardware builds, including servers and networks.
  • Be knowledgeable of Distributed Systems, Databases, Security, Networking & Load Balancing, Systems Monitoring etc.
  • Have expertise in administering network protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, and Security APIs.
  • Have a solid understanding of networking concepts and functional working skills with various network technologies (DNS, proxies, load balancers, firewalls etc.)
  • Have a good standard of English language proficiency (written and verbal).

About the IT Network Infrastructure Engineer role:

You will be responsible for the implementation, configuration and ongoing management of our client’s global IT infrastructure.

- Systems monitoring, administration and troubleshooting performance of IT infrastructure.

- Supporting the server infrastructure and development environments.

- Acknowledging and responding to assigned tickets in the infrastructure queue.

- Installing new server hardware and other IT infrastructure plus software upgrades.

- Managing and reporting on any licensing, asset or compliance requirements within the scope of this role.

- Providing technical input and advice within the IT team on future and current initiatives, strategies and best practices.

- Proactively recommending proposals to optimise systems performance and stability across the entire IT estate.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary: £50-60,000

Core Hours: Flexible-Time
