Linux Network Engineer (Linux Server, IP/MPLS, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching)

 

Location: Aztec West, North Bristol

Salary: £25-30,000 (dependent on experience).

 

Our client will consider candidates without any commercial experience but good personal technical experience of the below key skills.

 

Linux Network Engineer - Key Skills:

 

- Good Linux OS experience (CentOS, RHEL etc).

- Ability to write scripts at Linux Level (Bash, Python etc.).

- Knowledge of Open Stack, Cloud Stack and VMWare

- Knowledge of IP/MPLS, Routing, Switching, TCP/IP etc.

- Understanding of VPN L2 and L3

- Knowledge of Wireless Protocols and architecture (3G, 4G, LTE).

- Experience troubleshooting Network problems.

- Must have excellent English communication experience.

- Must be eligible to work in the UK.

 

About the Role:

 

Linux Network Engineer (Linux Server, IP/MPLS, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching)

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing Remote Technical Support for our client’s product solutions and associated network elements.

- Assisting with debugging complex product installations.

- Resolving complicated product problems by applying both established procedures and creative alternatives.

- Ensuring external and internal customer trouble tickets tracked are continuously updated and maintained.

- Providing customers with a high level of detailed 1st line and 2nd line technical support for a range of Network Management Applications.

- Tracking, investigating and resolving technical problems.
