Helpful Interview Tips

1. First Impressions:

Call ahead to check the dress code. If you're unsure, it's always better to be overdressed than underdressed.

2. Preparation:

Start thinking a couple of weeks in advance about the type of questions you're likely to be asked. Write down your answers. Read these every day and add improvements. Practice answering slowly so you're not tempted to rush in the interview.

3. Comfort:

On the day of your interview, be clean but don't pile on the fragrance...make sure the interviewer doesn't want to leave the room!

4. Honesty:

If you're asked to tell your interviewer about one of your weaknesses, don't try to put a positive spin on it. This shows a lack of self awareness. Know your weaknesses before you walk into the interview and you'll be more comfortable talking about them honestly.

5. Politics:

Try not to talk negatively about previous employers. Diplomacy is everything.
